SMW Autoblok, a designer and manufacturer of rotational chucks, stationary workholding, tooling, and custom engineered solutions for the machine tool industry, introduces the 40 mm WPS (workpiece positioning system) Mini featuring manual Zero Point clamping that is ideal for small workpieces requiring quick part changeover. The WPS Mini is ideal for 5-axis machining used for milling, measuring, or grinding operations. With an emphasis on flexibility and speed, users can reduce their setup time by 90%.

The economical, easy to use WPS Mini features manual Zero Point clamping that attaches directly to the workpiece, provides maximum holding force of 25 kN and highest repeatability of <0.005 mm. Single quick actuation provides rapid open and closing of the module with only a 270° rotation.

Offering interchangeability with all types of industry stationary workholding systems, the WPS Mini is fully Proofline sealed against dirt and swarf for minimal maintenance requirements and extended service life. Additional product highlights feature the ability to use with standard WPS/APS (automatic positioning system) modules with specially designed clamping pins and adapters used for workpiece clamping or top mounting that is case hardened with corrosion-resistant coating.

The WPS Mini is part of SMW Autoblok’s full line of WPS clamping modules offered in 60-, 80-, and 160-mm heights, which guarantee precision clamping of any size workpiece.
