Attendees to MD&M West 2024 are invited to visit Portescap at Booth 1885 to discuss flat motor products, frameless motor capabilities, and extended life capabilities for harsh medical environments such as saline, autoclave, and dishwasher. All have been developed to meet the unique demands of medical applications. Flat and frameless motors are ideal for robotic joints and control axes that demand precise servo-driven movement. Our extended life motor is designed to outperform in extremely harsh sterilization environments or in surgical hand tools. Frameless motors and extended life motors are available by request only.
Portescap will also focus on the M-Sense12A autoclavable encoder, our first autoclavable encoder, and the CNT2440 autoclavable controller. The M-Sense12A has been designed specifically for surgical applications and can survive over 2,000 sterilization cycles, while the CNT2440 controller features a sensorless drive and can withstand up to 1,000 sterilization cycles. Both accessories fill the critical need for sterilizable accessory options within the surgical market.
