MDV-125 power vise

Samchully Workholding, Inc. of Irvine, California will exhibit at Houstex  2013 in booth 1955 for the first
time since founding its California-based sales and technical support center in January 2010. Samchully Workholding, Inc. will proudly showcase a full-range of premium workholding solutions including application chucks, standard chucks, rotary cylinders, vises, steady rests, and rotary tables.

Samchully will feature the MDV-125 power vise is a dual station vise using two moving outside jaws and a fixed center jaw for double clamping.  A mechanical multiplier booster system (Power Vise) provides high clamping force with low input force when turning the handle.  The Samchully Power Vise series uses a mechanical booster system to take the place of a torque wrench at the input handle.  The predetermined torque settings on the knob at the input key, allow different clamping force settings at the clamping jaws.  The maximum clamping force for the MDV Power Vise is 4,355 kg (9,581 lbs), with the preset dial allowing 4 clamping force steps to reach this maximum.

  • When the clamping force is preset using one of the 4 steps, the input key will stop turning when the required torque (clamping force) is reached.  The clamping force will be the same each time the vise is closed, eliminating the use of “cheater bars” and hammers to increase the clamping force, causing the workpiece to lift off the vise base.  This makes the Samchully Power Vise series ideal for applications where consistent gripping force is necessary or desirable to maintain accurate machining results.
  • The MDV dual station vise is equipped standard with step jaws allowing clamping of two workpieces from
  • 2.06” up to 7.36”
  • The MDV Power Vise has 3 mm (0.118”) of compensation between the two jaw sets to equalizing any size differences between the two workpieces.  This allows both moving jaws to properly clamp the workpieces, even when clamping two different size parts.
  • The drive spindle is fully enclosed, eliminating damage and excessive wear caused by incursion of chips and swarf into the spindle.  The mechanical multiplier system is also sealed against chips by a cover that prevents chips or grinding fines from entering the operating system.
  • All moving parts are heat treated for durability.
  • Multiple vises can be used in tandem for large or very long workpieces.  All critical measurements are accurate to 0.01 mm (0.0004”) for precision clamping.
  • All Samchully Power Vises have a large maximum jaw opening with the PCV-250 10” vise offering a 450 mm (17.7”) maximum opening and the 5” vise offering a 9” maximum jaw opening.
  • The Samchully Power Vises are full featured and very competitively priced compared to the European competition.
