WENZEL and Nidec’s collaboration started with the mutual exhibition during IMTS 2022 in Chicago, IL. The exhibit at the large machine tool show highlighted the measurement technology solutions based on closed-loop processes. Based on this highly successful collaboration, the joint Open House was arranged to bring customers face-to-face with both WENZEL and Nidec’s machines and experts.
“Gear up for Precision is the perfect way to show how WENZEL’s metrology systems integrate into any production process. We are excited to have Nidec as a partner to demonstrate how we apply this to the gear industry,” says Drew Shemenski, president of WENZEL America. “Collaborations like this are a way we bring innovation to a wide variety of industries, such as aerospace, mobility, and contract manufacturing.” Shemenski continues, “We are honored that WENZEL’s CEO, Dr. Heike Wenzel, and Chief Digital Officer, Prof. Dr. Heiko Wenzel are participating in this event, bringing the global perspective.”
According to Scott Knoy, VP sales at Nidec Machine Tool America, “Our joint effort with WENZEL in the Open House offers gear manufacturers the ability to visit both WENZEL and see Nidec’s advanced equipment first-hand and speak with our technical experts.”
Gear up for Precision will take place on April 12 and 13, 2023. Both WENZEL and Nidec Machine Tool America, located across from each other, will be open to visitors with displays, technical discussions, presentations, and demonstrations. Nidec will have the new GE15HS high speed hobbing machine running with Load & Go automation from Automation Within Reach. WENZEL will demonstrate the flagship LH CMM with REVO, along with other CMM solutions as well as CT scanning systems and the latest developments in gear metrology.
