South Plainfield, New Jersey – Vention Medical officials have expanded the company’s Catheter Center of Excellence in Minneapolis, Minnesota, doubling its footprint in the medical technology hub of the Twin Cities.
The move to a new, larger facility enhances Vention’s capabilities as a strategic partner, combining its expertise in manufacturing precision catheter components with technical support resources to offer customers a complete solution to their catheter-based device needs.
“Our new site is a one-stop shop,” said Tom Testa, president of Vention’s Advanced Components business. “This world-class facility will provide our customers another Vention option to partner with for their catheter projects from start to finish. This expanded service offering in Minneapolis will help local customers save costs and increase speed to market.”
The new site brings together manufacturing operations, customer technical support, and local engineering resources. The new facility includes a 10,000ft2 controlled manufacturing environment for catheter component and device production. Vention engineers can work collaboratively with customers to design and develop catheters, sub-assemblies, and braided shafts. Key competencies also include:
Braiding and lamination to produce complex, high-performance braided shafts
