The Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas business region of Avnet, Inc. announces the launch of the first of three technical training sessions for medical device manufacturers featuring design solutions from Analog Devices. The first training features two On-Ramp Technical Sessions(TM) demonstrating the benefits of utilizing Analog Devices' signal processing ICs for diagnosis level electrocardiogram (ECG) measurement equipment and pulse oximetry design applications.
The sessions feature live presentations and demonstrations by Avnet subject matter experts at a customer's location. Lasting between one and two hours, On-Ramp Technical Sessions also include a product roadmap, technical overview and tool offerings. The On-Ramp Technical Sessions are free of charge and available upon request for qualified Avnet customers in North America.
To complement the On-Ramp sessions offered, Avnet and Analog Devices medical application engineers have developed a half-hour Web seminar titled Medical Applications Solutions: Patient Monitoring. This in-depth seminar is offered on demand and is specifically tailored to medical application engineers. Offering complete analog solutions for signal chain, power management, sensing and signal processing requirements associated with today's medical equipment, this seminar is just one of the many educational avenues available to medical OEMs (original equipment manufacturers).
"This technical series combines Avnet's design and supply chain expertise and offers our medical equipment OEMs the knowledge to implement the most effective medical solutions on the market," said Alex Iuorio, senior vice president of supplier business development for Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas.
"Analog Devices is pleased to partner with Avnet on this series of technical seminars and interactive On-Ramp Technical Sessions, which focus on innovative and practical solutions for our mutual customers," said Patrick O'Doherty, vice president, Healthcare Group, Analog Devices. "The seminars are designed to keep customers informed of the extensive signal processing technologies ADI offers for the healthcare market."
