VERO-S quick-change pallet system from Schunk is a new benchmark in precision and economy in machine tools.
VERO-S combines two basic functions: centering via short tapers, and locking via two clamping slides.
The VERO-S offers a whole range of additional features, whether it’s the corrosion-free, hardened standard version, the completely sealed, maintenance-free system, or the patented dual stroke actuation with turbo function for maximum pull-in forces of up to 40kn- and all for the same price too.
With a uniform clamping pin size for the entire series, VERO-S NSE plus guarantees maximum flexibility and is for universal use with all Schunk quick-change pallet modules. At the same time, users profit from more than 500 workpiece clamping device variations in combination with Schunk’s extensive range of stationary clamping vises.
The clamping slides are closed via spring force and self-lock the clamping pins. The turbo function provides as standard uses compressed air to increase the force in the spring packages and also at the piston surface. This increases the pull-in forces by up to 300%. Compressed air at a pressure of 6 bar is sufficient for opening the modules. When the module is de-aerated, the spring packages lock the module automatically.
Entry radii on the clamping pin enable quick and safe joining even with a tilt angle and eccentricity. The VERO-S NSE offers better flexibility for manual and automatic loading. The precise short taper centering in conjunction with the form-fitting and self-locking locking characterizes the Schunk quick-change pallet system. Large contact surfaces between clamping slide and clamping pin assure a low surface pressure.
