ASG, a division of Jergens Inc., one of the world's leading manufacturers of standard tooling and specialty fastener products, announced today they have acquired all of the assets of MicroTorq LLC of Traverse City, MI. MicroTorq, a manufacturer of precision electric fastener systems, including their industry standard transducerized screwdriver system. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The revolutionary control system will be branded as X-PAQ, for its extreme precision, accuracy and quality. This product line will be marketed under the newly created ASG Precision Fastening Group. ASG will provide full service repair, maintenance and calibration services for all ASG branded screwdrivers, as well as all comparable electric transducerized screwdrivers currently in the field, regardless of where or when the tool was purchased.
