Sandvik Coromant's New Website

Revamped website is part of Sandvik Coromant’s new global strategic direction.

Sandvik Coromant officials are pleased to announce the launch of the new corporate website, www.sandvik.coromant.com. The revamped website is part of Sandvik Coromant’s new global strategic direction focused on supporting customer’s growing needs in a developing marketplace.

Available in 19 different languages, supporting over 100 countries, the website features an enhanced platform and a simplified interface that enables easier navigation. With an extensive assortment of metal cutting knowledge, the site will offer information on the best machining methods, how to choose the right products, how to maintain products, and how to optimize productivity.

“In a content rich environment like the internet, it is important to reach customers in a way that’s as easy as possible for them,” states Björn Roodzant, senior manager for the global web. “The customer should be able to choose how and when to interact with us and do business. With the new web we hope we can guide them in that process.”

To improve overall user experience, the site includes:
Powerful Search Engine
The enhanced search engine offers a fully searchable database of indexed content such as articles, product codes, product families, videos and images, creating a seamless user experience. With the help of autocomplete functionality, the search engine guides the user to the appropriate information with ease.

Online Ordering Service
A convenient self-service shopping area provides channel partners and customers an easy method to check pricing, product availability, package tracking, and order and invoice history, among other features. The online ordering service also offers easy and quick registration for new customers with the ability to purchase products directly through the site and pay with a credit card.

Tool Selector
An advanced tooling service provides cutting tool recommendations based on user parameters such as “working material” and “task.” All product information is based on the new ISO standard (13399) to ensure quality product data.

Local Content/Events
Users will now be able to view the latest news in a given market and register to attend local training events and educational seminars.
