Hughes Circuits earns ISO 13485 Certification

ISO 13485:2003 Certification is applicable to the manufacture of custom circuit assemblies for the medical industry.


San Marcos, California – Hughes Circuits Inc. has earned the ISO 13485:2003 Certification – the established quality standard for manufacturers of medical devices as defined by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). 

Hughes Circuits was awarded the certification by ABS Quality Evaluations, Inc. headquartered in Houston, TX. Within Hughes Circuits, the ISO 13485:2003 Certification is applicable to the manufacture of custom circuit assemblies for the medical industry.

Hughes Circuits is an EMS organization providing electronics manufacturing services of integrated PCB fabrication and assembly from their facility in San Marcos, Calif. Founded in 1999, Hughes Circuits offers turnkey project assistance from concept to box-build of electromechanical assemblies. Services include design, layout, and fabrication through SMT assembly for prototypes and production volume runs.

This newly acquired ISO 13485:2003 award, complements Hughes Circuits’ existing certifications including AS9100:2004 and ISO9000:2008, MIL-P-55110, MIL-PRF-31032, ITAR Registered, UL Certified, IPC-CID+ Certified PCB Designers , IPC-600-A Certified Trainers, IPC-600-A Certified PCB Inspectors, IPC-610-D Certified PCBA Inspectors, and J-STD-001 Certified PCBA Soldering Technicians.
