Mazak Corp.’s Discover More With Mazak technology and education event at its Midwest Technology Center in Schaumburg, Illinois, will be May 5-6, 2020. Featuring the Midwestern debut of several machine tools, the show will also highlight the North American debut of the Variaxis C-600, a full simultaneous 5-axis multi-tasking machining center featuring a flexible, automation-ready design and the new Mazatrol SmoothAi CNC.

A U.S. premire, the Variaxis C-600 is an advanced 5-axis solution with a wide variety of optional features, automation-ready machine enclosure, operator-friendly ergonomic design, and improved productivity, leveraging 40% faster rapid traverse rates, 4.5 second chip-to-chip automatic tool changer, double-ended tilting table, and robust C-frame construction for shorter non-cut times and faster cycle times.

Featuring a Mazatrol SmoothAi control configured specifically for 5-axis machining, the Variaxis C-600 has access to a wide range of functions, from the digital synchronization through Mazatrol Twins to artificial-intelligence-powered machining modules such as Smooth Ai Spindle and Ai Thermal Shield.
