In 2018, nearly 3,000 events took place across the United States, with manufacturers opening their doors, offering plant tours, and engaging their communities. Today, new events with new future employees takes place.
MFG Day is an opportunity to inspire and recruit the next generation of manufacturers. Jim King, president and COO of Okuma, recently penned his thoughts about A Great Life in Manufacturing, in advance of Okuma’s MFG DAY event.
Bishop-Wisecarver will host tours of their facility for students and community members during this year’s eighth annual National Manufacturing Day (MFG Day) event. More than 1300 people have visited the company during previous MFG Day events and activities for 2019 include on-the-floor plant tours, a career showcase with multiple employees and jobs represented, and a hands-on, motion-related engineering challenge.
Sandvik Coromant will host events again, throughout the day, inviting student in for demonstrations on advanced technologies.
