Larry Robbins
President and CEO

Larry Robbins joined SMW Autoblok in 2007 as National Sales Manager and was appointed President of SMW Autoblok’s Commercial Division in 2019, then CEO in 2024.
As CEO, Larry manages all strategic sales and marketing initiatives as well as overseeing SMW Autoblok’s North American sales team and customer base including machine tool dealers, OEMs, and channels currently under development. He also oversees international products and global product launches including new wireless connectivity company SMW Electronics.
Larry has more than 40 years of experience in the machine tool industry and manufacturing. Prior to working for SMW Autoblok, he owned a successful manufacturers’ rep company for 13 years. Larry’s knowledge and ability in the machining industry began in his early youth when he worked side-by-side with his father who owned a prosperous distributorship in New Jersey.

Michael Gaunce
Vice President of Sales, Clamping Technology
SCHUNK
Michael Gaunce is the Vice President of Sales, Clamping Technology at SCHUNK with 10+ years of experience in the workholding industry. He grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina where he also obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from NC State University. During his last year of college, he began working part-time as a designer and application engineer in the specialized industry of magnetic workholding & material handling. Upon graduation, Michael resumed the role full-time at the small design/assembly house where he learned every aspect of the business, including the quoting, design and implementation.
In 2012, Michael joined SCHUNK as a Sales Support Engineer to broaden his knowledge and skill set to include all forms of workholding devices (not just magnetic) in the manufacturing industry. The opportunity to travel the country and visit various manufacturing facilities in all sectors of industry has provided him with a unique insight into the true value of good workholding, and efficient change-over between tooling. Prior to becoming Vice President, Michael led a team of application engineers as the Group Manager for Stationary Workholding. He also focused on broader market initiatives that gave him deeper insights into general market trends in manufacturing. In recent years, Michael is keen to help his customers with the automation of machine tools. Automation is now not just restricted to high production manufacturers like automotive - it is being adopted by all industries and a wide variety of companies, large and small.

David Jones
Precision Workholding Product Manager

David Jones has been Precision Workholding Product Manager with EMUGE-FRANKEN USA for more than 27 years. Jones has extensive knowledge and experience when working closely with his customers to meet their unique clamping requirements.
EMUGE-FRANKEN USA is a wholly owned subsidiary of German parent company EMUGE-Werk Richard Glimpel KG, a leading manufacturer of precision clamping devices, tool holders, taps, thread mills, drills, end mills, and other rotary tools for over 100 years.
EMUGE designs, engineers and builds workholding solutions specific to the customer's machine, workpiece, operation and environment. And soon this year, EMUGE is introducing a centric vice offering that provides tremendous clamping forces combined with exceptionally high accuracy. This new product called "EvoGrip" will further broaden EMUGE's high performance solutions for table-to-spindle tooling products when three- and five-axis machining.
