McLean, Virginia – The International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS 2018) is dedicating 130,000ft2 of exhibition space and display to HANNOVER MESSE USA, the newly branded North American industrial technology co-located trade show.
HANNOVER MESSE USA, organized and managed by Hannover Fairs USA (HFUSA), the U.S. subsidiary of Deutsche Messe, organizer of HANNOVER MESSE, is one of several shows co-located with IMTS 2018, the premier and longest running manufacturing technology show in the Americas. It will be held September 10-15, 2018, at McCormick Place, Chicago, Illinois.
“Co-locating HANNOVER MESSE USA further diversifies the technologies that visitors can experience at IMTS 2018,” says Peter R. Eelman, vice president of Exhibitions & Business Development at IMTS producer AMT – The Association For Manufacturing Technology. “HANNOVER MESSE USA has increased its footprint by 44% and will feature approximately 500 exhibitors in the East Building. IMTS already attracts visitors from more than 110 countries, and co-locating HANNOVER MESSE USA further strengthens our international appeal.”
“HANNOVER MESSE USA’s trade shows will leverage the power of the HANNOVER MESSE brand by demonstrating the full range of Industry 4.0 and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions during IMTS 2018,” says Larry Turner, president & CEO of HFUSA. In addition, the show emphasizes technologies associated with predictive maintenance, more efficient use of raw materials, faster time to market and other trends in industrial manufacturing.
“We also expect to extend the overall scope and global nature of the co-located shows this year by highlighting more exhibitors from around the world in our international pavilions, including China, Germany, Italy, Korea and Taiwan,” Turner adds.
HANNOVER MESSE USA has had a presence in the U.S. market since launching the industrial technology shows at IMTS 2012.
For IMTS 2018, the HANNOVER MESSE USA exhibition space and three special display areas will be located on two floors of the East Building. Level 3 will feature its Integrated Automation, Motion & Drives USA (IAMD USA), North America’s leading trade show for Integrated Automation, Industrial IT, Power Transmission, and Control. Located alongside IAMD USA will be the Fluid Power special display area.
Level 2 of the East Building will house three other HANNOVER MESSE USA co-located trade shows: ComVac USA, Industrial Supply USA, and Surface Technology USA. These shows will take place alongside the event’s Digital Factory and Industrial Energy Systems special display areas. Educational presentations will be throughout the show floor.
For IMTS 2018, the East Building will host technology from five pavilions. It will be a new home for the Tooling & Workholding Annex and the Machine Components/Cleaning/Environmental Pavilion. And remain home to the Quality Assurance, EDM, and Controls & CAD-CAM Pavilions.
