OmniGuide Surgical officials announce the market introduction of the ELEVATE ENT System. OmniGuide has significantly enhanced its flexible fiber and instrumentation system functionality through the introduction of its ELEVATE ENT System. These improvements include faster cutting speed, improved ergonomics, which incorporate counterweight technology to reduce fatigue and improve surgeon comfort. The new system also offers enhanced tactile feedback, blunt tissue dissection tips, and single step fiber loading.
"The new ELEVATE ELITE fiber is more reliable and delivers consistently higher power, a marked improvement over the current technology,” states Dr. Bruce Haughey, MBChB, FACS, FRACS, kimbrough professor and director, Head and Neck Surgical Oncology at Barnes Jewish Hospital. “The new ELEVATE ENT System instrumentation has greatly improved ergonomics and the automated loading system makes it very simple for the operating staff to use.”
ELEVATE ENT System Highlights:
- ELEVATE ELITE ENT Fiber offers the benefits of CO2 precision energy such as decreased thermal spread and ability to resect around critical structures but with enhanced power delivery and robustness
- Wide variety of instrumentation (11pcs) featuring enhanced bend angles aiding in accessing hard-to-reach anatomy packaged in a staff-friendly metal sterilization tray
- Ease-of-use features such as active stop fiber loading and no-assembly required handpieces aid in system set-up and for the surgeon, ensures consistent tissue interaction
"The new ELEVATE ENT System is a dramatic improvement from the current instrumentation on the market,” comments Scott Flora, OmniGuide’s president and CEO. “By taking this innovative step, we’ve been able to complement our cutting edge flexible fiber technology with an equally impressive instrumentation design which meets several currently unmet market needs.”
OmniGuide is leveraging the benefits of CO2 laser, known to be one of the safest, most effective and most precise surgical cutting modalities available to improve minimally invasive surgical outcomes. The Company believes that the use of its system can improve a surgeon’s experience in the operating room and provide better outcomes for patients. CO2 laser energy causes less damage to tissue versus other advanced energy products and surgeons are more comfortable using this energy source around critical anatomical structures.
