With newly developed scan head technology and modular design, the fiber laser marking systems in the Y-series integrates into production lines and laser marking stations.
The Y-series’ design includes nine Ytterbium fiber laser sources (1,064nm wavelength) spanning power 2W to 50W and pulse widths 1.5ns to 200ns, and two continuous-wave lasers (CW) on one modular platform. Additional features include various optics, a choice of marking fields, beam turn versions for straight-out or 90° beam exit, a patented camera system, and major customer interfaces (TCP/IP, Profibus) for flexible integration.
The Y-series offers High-S scan- tunings for higher marking speeds and High-Q for higher marking quality. In addition, the High-R (resolution) marking field calibration offers accurate mark positioning and a substantial reduction of marking field distortions.
Y-series fiber-marking lasers can be equipped with the Intelligent Mark Positioning (IMP) optical vision systems integrated directly in the marking head. IMP is the core of FOBA’s vision-aided Holistic Enhanced Laser Process (HELP), which offers verification prior to marking and validation after. Validating marking contents immediately after laser marking avoids marking errors, reduces scrap and non-conforming products, and ensures process reliability. Also included is the ability for 1D and 2D contents to be read during post-mark validation, with characters and images immediately verified.
