The Puma MX turn-mill adds true milling capabilities to a powerful Doosan turning center. The dual-spindle, multitasking configuration tackles heavy and interrupted cuts, producing high precision and mirror finishes. For turning, the MX combines a 25hp or 35hp spindle motor with a 12-station tool turret. For machining, corresponding data is a 25hp motor and 40 station ATC (80 station optional). The torquetube, meehanite bed construction prevents twisting and distortion, and provides a through-the-machine conduit for fresh air. Standard features include and automatic tool setter and a tool monitoring system. MX models are available for parts up to 21.7" x 40.2" or 60" in length.
