Multi-axis piezo-motor positioners
With 50 models in the Q-Motion piezo motor family, PI’s miniaturized, multi-axis linear and rotary positioners come in varying sizes and motion ranges.
High-precision motion applications will benefit from the cost-efficient encoders employed in the closed-loop stages, providing resolution from microns down to 1nm. Vacuum-compatible stages, UHV, and non-magnetic options are also available. Standard stages can be quickly modified while fully customized OEM parts are also available.
PI’s digital motion controllers and drivers come with software support, graphical user-interface programming examples, and LabView drivers.

Jump-start prototype builds
The Voice Coil Actuators (VCA) Developer’s Kit is a solution for people who want to use a VCA but are reluctant to tackle which controller and software to specify for a working system. The kit answers all the questions needed to get a VCA system up and running, including where to source components, component assembly, and part programming to perform the desired motions. Users can develop an actuation system and demonstrate a working design concept without separately specifying the electronics for a complete control system.
Convection cooled certified power supplies
CUS350M medical and ITE certified 350W power supplies require no external airflow and meet low audible noise demands. Currently available with 12V, 18V, 24V, or 48V outputs, the power supplies offer user adjustment of ±5% to accommodate non-standard voltages. The series provides up to 350W output power (convection-cooled) at 40°C ambient, and 175W at 70°C. With efficiencies of up to 94%, an average rating of 87%, and a standby power consumption of less than 0.5W, units comply with the European ErP Directive.
The units are enclosed in a 190mm x 87mm x 40mm (7.5" x 3.4" x 1.6") package and operate from 85VAC to 264VAC input. Fully featured “/F” suffix models include a 5V 0.5A standby output, a 12V 0.3A auxiliary output, remote sense, an isolated DC good signal, and remote on/off function. Input to output isolation is 4,000VAC (2x MOPPs) and 1,500VAC (1x MOPPs) input to ground and output to ground.
Compact power entry modules
The Protection Class II KMF power entry module is intended for use in medical equipment according to the IEC standard 60601-1-11. Protection Class II equipment has no metal case like Protection Class I equipment. It is double insulated between energized components and exposed parts, and requires higher safety levels for energized components relative to exposed surfaces. This reinforced insulation is tested with a voltage of 4,000VDC between the energized conductor (L) and the neutral conductor (N) relative to the mounting panel.
