The higher-capacity 7mm SwissNano features 7mm x 50mm workpiece machining capacity, 2.5kW spindle output, and accommodations for 18 standard tools.
The machine’s 6-axis kinematics enable turning, drilling, cutting, deburring, roughing, and finishing operations for producing precision parts in markets such as medical, dental, micromechanics, and electronics.
Programming can be done with Tornos’ TISIS and TISIS computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software, which reduces setup time with efficient programming and workpiece optimization.
Depending on the tool carrier, 2, 3, or 4 tools can be mounted underneath the counter-spindle. The machine also can be equipped with high-frequency spindles. Additional supplementary machining functions include thread whirling for main machining operations, gear hobbing, polygon milling, or cross-drilling for back-machining operations.
Various part collection systems are offered depending on the part length and can be swapped in a few moments during setup.
