Polymer Enhancement for Designers
Foster Bismuth Subcarbonate is a radiopaque polymer enhancement technology offering another option for medical device industry designers. This radiopaque filler delivers quality that translates into improved performance at the extrusion step of the supply chain - allowing improved yields and thinner wall thicknesses - thereby pushing the limits for product designs. Focused on the morphology, density, crystallinity, surface area and particle size, the Foster Bismuth Subcarbonate addresses the issues with poor dispersion of fillers into plastics and allows for a much smoother surface and improved yields to the OEMs. Tests and users have shown that the filler is actually more stable in the extrusion process.
The radiopaque polymers can be used in several different polymer families; a range of medical markets; and a variety of applications including catheter tubes, balloons, stents, catheter tips and injection molded parts

Flex-Hone Tools Surface Finishing
Diamond Flex-Hone tools are designed for deburring, edge blending and surface finishing in hard materials such as carbide, ceramic and steel alloys. Engineered using resin-bond diamond crystals, these tools have high friability that create self-sharpening edges resulting in a tool that is free-cutting with a rapid cut rate producing an optimal finish. These diamond tools are made with a premium nickel-coated abrasive that aids in heat dissipation and improves bond retention. Sizes from 4mm to 20mm are standard in three different mesh sizes.
