Precision tube sensors for microbubble detection
Balluff MICROmote optical precision tube sensors detect free-floating air bubbles in transparent liquids – bubbles with dimensions smaller than the tube’s inner diameter.
The sensor’s detection ability results from a uniform illumination of the tube’s liquid column created by a concentrated arrangement around the tube of multiple light beams, each with an individual uniform intensity distribution. When a small air bubble enters the sensing field it induces a signal jump on the sensor’s receiver, enabling reliable detection of bubbles smaller than 1mm in diameter.
Either switching or analog output with MICROmote amplifier tube sensors form a complete detection system with applications for laboratory, analysis, and medical technology.

High lubricity material
Quniton is a high-performance lubricious product with permanent, low coefficient of friction (CoF) surface properties, which resists bonding or sticking to a wide range of materials.
Relative to other materials, Quniton has only a fraction of the CoF values, which is true for other common seal materials such as EPDM or silicone. Lower CoF enhances product lifespan due to reduced wear and abrasion, and in manufacturing operations, Quniton’s properties mean less surface preparation requirements and faster assembly.
Previously, designers had to rely on coating elastomers with products such as molybdenum disulfide, graphite, silicone oil, or PTFE powder. Coatings can be washed away from the surface, do not lend themselves to repeated autoclaving, and may cause contamination of the application. Quniton retains all of the performance attributes of the high-performance material including chemical and thermal stability.
FYI
Quniton is suitable for applications with severe chemical exposure including acids, bases, and solvents; and for temperature as high as 500°F (262°C).

Breakable male luer lock connector
A clear polycarbonate body and tip allows for a transparent view of fluid in #11759 breakable male luer lock connector. The connector is E-Beam, EtO, and Gamma-sterilization compatible, with a 0.262" (6.65mm) OD port. The connectors isolate media in a bag port until needed, eliminating the use of spikes or needles. When snapped, the break-off tip floats to the top of a bag, identifying separation and permitting flow.

Ultra-low flow technology
Mott’s membrane technology, which controls the flow rate of a liquid or drug in devices throughout extended time, can be configured for passive or diffusional flow and can manage flow rates in powered devices.
When used for diffusional flow, Mott’s porous metal components can be configured to sustain delivery of a drug. To meter the flow in a powered device – pumps, patch pumps, and powered delivery devices – the porous metal membrane technology can be calibrated to manage flows as low as 1 nanoliter per minute to 2 nanoliters per minute.
Available in titanium or stainless steel, Mott’s technology is for use in implanted devices or in applications requiring slow, consistent diffusion of a liquid, drug, or biologic.
Chemically inert, non-reactive, constructed entirely of bio-compatible materials, and structurally sound, Mott’s ultra-low flow precision membrane technology can be used with many large and small molecules, and can be tailored to meet specific conditions, chemistries, and formulations.
FYI
Once Mott’s porous metal static flow control elements are calibrated, they never vary given the fluids are clean and the inlet and outlet characteristics are consistent with design parameters.

Medical grade thin film chip capacitors
Accu-P MP series thin film chip capacitors deliver tight capacitive tolerances, repeatable performance, low ESR, and high Q at high frequencies – including VHF, UHF, and RF bands. The capacitors also exhibit high stability with respect to temperature, time, frequency, and voltage variation. Accu-P MP series capacitors are for use in medical RF signal and power applications that require high accuracy, such as embedded medical systems and implantable medical devices.
The capacitors are currently available in three standard case sizes, five rated voltages, two dielectric temperature coefficients, and with capacitive tolerances spanning ±0.01pF to ±5%. Rated for use in operating temperatures spanning -55°C to 125°C, the series is also available with tin/lead (Sn/Pb) terminations or RoHS compliant and lead-free compatible 100% tin terminations.
Designed for soldering onto flexible or alumina circuit boards, Accu-P MP series capacitors can withstand time and temperature profiles used in wave and reflow soldering methods.
Available options
- Standard case sizes: 0201, 0402, 0603
- Rated voltages: 10V, 16V, 25V, 50V, 100V
- Dielectric temperature coefficients: 0±30ppm/°C and 0±60ppm/°C
