Cost estimating software
Costimator 3DFX automated feature recognition (AFR) identifies CAD features and their parameters from solid models. It provides estimators control over features they extract and import into Costimator for estimating.
Costimator 3DFX 3D CAD viewer supports more than 30 file formats to collect accurate measurements, cut dynamic sections, and play animations. The AFR automatically recognizes holes, slots, pockets, bends, forms, and their parameters from solid models.
CAD features and the parameters selected are sent to Costimator and automatically estimated via cost models. Estimators can develop their own defined parameters, and any unrecognizable features and their associated dimensions can be identified and entered.

Added support for turn-mills and lathes
PartMaker Version 2015 has been improved to support B-axis equipped turn-mill centers and Swiss-type lathes. The software can generate a post-processor reference guide to help take full advantage of multi-axis lathes and capabilities. Other improvements include more powerful milling and turning functionality and improvements in the software’s knowledge-based technology for storing optimal feeds and speeds for additional tools.
FYI
B-axis refers to the ability of a multi-axis lathe to perform milling at any angle, not just in a vertical or horizontal position.

Grinding machine
The GrindSmart 629XS is a versatile, multi-axis tool grinding and peel grinding machine. Together with new software, GrindSmart 629XS offers versatility and capability for all types of rotary and stationary cutting tools – end mills, drills, form tools, indexable inserts, taps, reamers, routers, and other medical instruments.
VirtualGrindPro programing software offers design freedom while enabling quick programming of standard or specialty tools when using the programming wizard. A simulator enables generation of 3D images from the programmed tool while the off-line software enables visualization of the movements of the machine before grinding in order to reduce setup time and enable verification and avoidance of collisions while increasing production time

Coordinate measuring machine featuring CT sensors
With intelligent software and powerful hardware, the TomoQuick HV coordinate measuring machine (CMM) with CT sensors offers two operating models.
In standard mode, the computed tomography system generates high precision measurement data analogous to machines typically used in measurement labs. In high-speed mode, the machine can be used as a fully integrated and automated solution in a production line to inspect components for completeness or cavities. While the machine performs its scan, the system’s WinWerth software reconstructs 3D data in parallel.
The machine can use either 225kV, 300kV, or 450kV X-ray tubes. The X-ray tubes make it possible to scan large metal parts. With the part changer integrated completely in the measuring machine, many parts can be placed on pallet and checked automatically without operator intervention. WinWerth allows several components to be measured with a single scan.
