Angle heads
The Alberti TH Line angle head casting is made from GS 600 stabilized spheroidal cast iron that provides increased thermal stability and rigidity compared to materials such as steel and aluminum. The TH series angle heads can be run with or without coolant, without making any changes to the installation. The offset design of the TH series heads supports extended length tools.
All Alberti angle head spindles with arbor are manufactured from a solid piece of hardened steel, increasing resistance to bending stress by 25% and enabling the tools to reach higher rpm without vibration. Angular contact bearings ensure concentricity and stability for high-performance machining.

Racer3 robot
Racer3 is a high-speed, 6-axis, articulated robot that is lightweight and can be easily mounted on benches, walls, ceilings, or on inclined supports.
Racer3 features a compact design with aluminum construction. Racer3 can close like a book, bringing the wrist toward the body in order to rotate axis 1 at maximum speed while avoiding collisions with anything in the surrounding space.
Infinite anchoring positions and a wide and flexible work area provide stability for precision and repeatability using the highly curved, conjugate architecture of the arm.

Grooving inserts
The Groove’n Turn line’s right-hand, counter-clockwise face grooving inserts cut internal face grooves with major diameters starting at 0.3" fit L series toolholders. The sub-micron grain carbide inserts include grades for ferrous and non-ferrous materials either uncoated or with TiN, TiCN, TiAIN, or diamond film coatings.
Features
- Available in 0.004" through 0.150" in 0.001" increments, sharp-corner through full-radius
- Major diameters are offered in 0.30", 0.750", 1.25", and 3.00"

Vericut software
Vericut 7.4 enhancements simplify CNC machine simulation. User interaction upgrades improve workflow and simplify NC programming and simulation.
The CNC machine simulation, verification, and optimization software enables users to eliminate the process of manually proving out NC programs. The program optimizes NC programs to save time, produce higher quality surface finish, and reduce scrap loss and rework. Vericut simulates all types of CNC machine tools, including those from leading manufactures, and can stand alone or integrate with leading CAM systems.
The Force module is a physics- and mathematics-based modeling software tool that optimizes machining rates.
Features
- New interfaces for integrating Vericut with Creo Parametric 3.0, CAMWorks, and SolidWorks
- New reviewer tool menu automatically sets the simulation start and end points

Vision guidance systems
CV2 vision systems with Vision Guide software reduce development time for vision guided robots and inspection applications.
An object-based, point-and-click interface allows users to define regions of interest and apply vision tools by dragging and dropping objects into the image display area. Objects are strung together in a sequence to build a vision application. A geometric search tool can find specific points of interest on a part, and line tools could be applied on top of the search tools to determine the distance between points of interest.
Up to 6 cameras (4 GigE and 2 USB 2.0) can be connected to one system. The standard CV2 vision system comes with a 640 x 480 resolution camera. A 2 Megapixel (1,600 x 1,200) or 5 Megapixel (2,560 x 1,920) camera is available for high precision applications or when a larger field of view is required.
Features
- Find tools – Geometric search, blob analysis, normalized correlation, polar search, and line and arc finders
- Inspection tools – Line inspector, arc inspector, and defect finder
- Construction tools – Frames, lines, points
- Color match tools

Inspection systems
Portable or bench, external and internal thread inspection systems incorporate functional and pitch diameter size measurements for UN, metric, NPT, and other thread forms. Standard indicating systems are designed to replace L1 thread ring and thread plug gages. Supplementary capabilities can assure conformance of thread elements.
The CHT thread inspection system designed for in-process inspection of large diameter parts features a range of measurement capabilities for runout and concentricity inspection. The thread inspection system verifies reverse-angle buttress threads commonly used in anti-splaying medical devices such as orthopedic implants.
