DISCOVER2015 technology and education event
At DISCOVER 2015, taking place on Oct. 27-29 and Nov. 3-5 in Florence, Kentucky, Mazak will spotlight technologies and trends that will change how part manufacturers operate, including unconventional ways to drive operational efficiency via additive manufacturing, CNC technology, and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).
Integrex i-400AM, the hybrid multi-tasking machine, will make its North American debut, and attendees will experience how it integrates laser cladding with 5-axis milling and turning capabilities. A feature of the multi-tasking machines, Mazatrol SmoothX CNC, will be displayed so attendees can see how it shortens machining cycle times, especially in fine increment programs for simultaneous 5-axis operations and free-form die-mold machining.
In addition to a look at IIoT and iSMART factory tours, participants have the opportunity to see more than 30 Mazak machine tools perform real-world cutting demonstrations. A series of seminars will cover metalworking tools, trends, and techniques. www.mazakusa.com
Machinery open-house
The event on Sept. 1, 2015, in the Ganesh Machinery showroom at 20869 Plummer St. in Chatsworth, California, will feature 20 CNC machines with cutting demonstrations.
An automation solutions presentation will focus on labor reduction and seamless production, a 5-axis milling presentation will show enhanced milling efficiency for 5-sided work pieces, and the 36-tool cyclone BY-2 will show the angular cutting capabilities of its B-axis machine. www.ganeshmachinery.com
