Right angle fasteners

R’angle fasteners create right-angle attachment points for tighter design control and reduced hardware counts.

R’angle clinch fasteners for metal replace conventional bent edge tabs, bent center tabs, bent flanges, angle brackets, or tack welds. R’angle surface mount fasteners for printed circuit boards eliminate the usual requirements for angle brackets or threaded right-angle blocks.

Small spring-set holding brakes

X-small brakes are electrically released, spring-set holding brakes. Designed primarily for engaged/disengaged holding applications, they provide low cycle rate stopping action in emergency situations and will remain engaged in the event of a power failure.

Antimicrobial PVC tubing

Clearflo Ag-47 tubing protects liquids from harmful bacteria that can result in taste transfer, odors, and illnesses. Applications include food processing and delivery, beverage transfer, water lines, laboratory uses, and medical devices.

Clearflo Ag-47 is manufactured from a clear, flexible PVC compound that is free of phthalates and contains a silver ion additive to guard against microorganisms such as E. coli, listeria, salmonella, legionella, MRSA, campylobacter, and pseudomonas. The silver ion is throughout the tubing.

REACH and RoHS compliant, Clearflo Ag-47 is made from non-toxic ingredients, conforming to FDA standards, and does not contain latex or animal-derived components.

Linear encoder

The MR303 linear sensors are for medical, MRI, robotic, and industrial applications where position and speed must be precisely monitored, and electromagnetic immunity and visibility are required. Working in conjunction with MR302-2 OEM controller, the sensor integrates with conventional PLC controllers and servo drives.

The position sensor is immune to electromagnetic interference, such as magnetic fields, lightning, high voltage, and radiation. Fabricated from non-ferrous and non-metallic materials, it is transparent to electromagnetic fields and can be safely used in and around the MRI bore without producing imaging artifacts.

This linear encoder can enhance the performance of existing MRI systems and enable new MRI applications and medical devices such as cradle position monitoring, robots, and phantom training organs. The fiber optic linear incremental encoder system is based on an optical technique in which an electrically passive, all-optical sensor and remote controller are interconnected via a duplex fiber optic link. A coarse wavelength division multiplexing technique incorporates two lasers representing the A and B quadrature signals. An encoder film strip passes through the MR303 optical read head, modulating the A and B optical signals. The remote MR302-2 controller provides both the optical input to the MR303 sensor and processes the modulated optical return signal.

Brushless motor drive

PBL4850E programmable three-phase brushless motor drive is the latest addition to the Idea drive line of motor controllers.

The four-quadrant brushless controller uses sinusoidal communication and two motion profiles – trapezoidal and s-curve – to produce smooth motion that minimizes torque ripple. Hall cell signals are used for phase initialization, and an encoder provides positional feedback.

The drive can store a wide range of programs and is capable of executing them outside of the software, without connection to a computer. Inputs and outputs can be simulated using the software before connecting actual I/O hardware.
