The RS3 upgrade package for Romer Absolute Arm with integrated laser scanner doubles the scan rate of the RS2 integrated scanner. The laser scanner will be available with all newly purchased Romer Absolute Arm SI portable measurement systems or as an upgrade option for existing customers.
The laser scanner delivers greater point cloud density with a maximum acquisition speed more than 9x faster than its predecessor, resulting in more detailed scanning without compromising accuracy. RDS proprietary software features SMART technology that monitors the arm in real-time and reduces the mean time to repair.
In 2015, all Romer Absolute Arms with integrated scanner will come standard with the RS3 laser scanner. Customers with existing RS1 or RS2 systems can request the RS3 upgrade package.
