Live Centers, Accuracy to 1 Micron
Gepy live centers are now available in the United States in an accuracy of 1 micron (0.000040") TIR., making them the most accurate product of its type. This level of precision allows use of a live center for applications where a dead center was normally required. The design combines a high precision tapered roller bearing with an outer bearing race, formed by the center body itself, and allowing for maximum dimensional compactness while providing for a greater revolving point diameter. The tapered bearing system eliminates the need for radial or thrust bearings as well as adjustment issues. Standard tapers are available from Morse taper #1 to #5 and special application design inquiries are welcome.

European-Style Collets, Feed Fingers
Supporting European-style, multi-spindle machine owners in North America is the manufactured and inventoried line of solid collets, master collets & pads, solid feed fingers, and master feed fingers & pads for Euroturn, Gildemeister, Index, and Schütte machines. Hardinge institutes a semi-finished blank program for fast turnaround of pickoff burring collets and special-shape collets. According to Hardinge, the collet should match the bar stock exactly. If you use inch bar stock, you should use fractional collets – not metric. Very few metric sizes have a direct fractional equivalent. Metric collets for metric bar stock, fractional collets for inch bar stock, and decimal collets for decimal bar stock will provide the best results. Match the collet size (order hole) exactly to the workpiece or bar stock diameter.

Pilot-Operated Check Valves
The JPC Series check valves utilizes Clippard’s poppet design and providing a variety of port configurations. The JPC series works as a standard check valve, but can operate with an air pilot signal providing free flow in the normally checked position. This new valve provides the user with a reliable method to check flow in one direction, with the ability to signal, remotely, a free flow through the valve. With high flow, low pressure, and ease of connection, the JPC Series is an ideal check valve for many applications.

Accurate Material, Product Identification
To protect against product reverse engineering and enable easy identification of original and spare sealing components, is the safe (secure adaptive Freudenberg encryption) laser technology. Simrit’s safe technology marks elastomer components, such as seals, diaphragms, and elastomer composite parts, with an anti-fraud designation that is invisible to the naked eye. This identification contains key product information, including an item description, model number, dimensions, material, date of manufacture, and serial numbers. The system consists of a laser marker with coding software and a reader that allows the customer to interpret the code located on the part. Two different safe product markings are available.
