Linear guides offer increased load rating
The NH and NS series linear guides offer longer operating life than conventional linear guides. The high load rating designed by NSK engineering uses a unique shape for the ball groove to help optimize contact surface pressure distribution, increasing load rating and operating life. The NH and NS series achieve more than twice the life expectancy of conventional linear guides and 1.3x the dynamic load rating.
The series has interchangeable sliders and rails and can be combined with conventional linear products. The installation dimensions are the same as NSK’s LH and LS series, so the new NH and NS series can be incorporated without changing the device design. A self-aligning feature accommodates misalignment and minimizes internal loads.
NH and NS series features
- Maintenance-free
- Special materials and coatings for select applications
- Useable in most production equipment
- NSK K1 lubrication unit

Machining system for small precision parts
Multistar transfer machines produce parts made from a range of materials with diameters from 0.4mm to 35mm and maximum lengths of up to 65mm. These precision rotary transfer machines have 12 or 24 stations and are offered in full CNC or mechanically actuated versions. Multistars are available with one to four simultaneous cycles, depending on part complexity and required volume, and have capacity of up to 150 parts/min in single-cycle operation and up to 600 parts/min in four-cycle mode.
The Multistar NX-24 is designed for batch production of a few hundred to many thousand parts from materials such as alloy steel, brass, titanium, or aluminum.
Features include:
- 24 working stations
- Up to 44 machining units can work simultaneously
- Fast indexing rotary table
- Simultaneous machining from two sides per station – above, below, lateral, or inclined
- High-performance machining spindles

Implantable feed-thrus, endoscope windows
Design engineers and medical device manufacturers working on implantable medical device or endoscope applications can reduce time-to-market and costs by using standard line hermetic implantable feed-thrus and endoscope windows.
The feed-thrus are suited for a variety of implantable applications, such as cardiac devices, neuro-stimulators, and cochlear implants. This new product line includes seven feed-thru configuration options: 1, 2, 3, 4, or 8 pins in both circular and oval formats. They all feature:
- Titanium body construction
- 0.01325" OD (0.39A) platinum/iridium pins
- Kryoflex ceramic-to-metal sealing technology
- Pin pitches are 0.05000" with one 0.10000" layout available and 0.07000" or 0.36000" optional pin extensions.
These connectors are leak checked to <1 x 10-9cc/sec He at 1 atmospheric differential pressure
The line of standard medical window products are designed for endoscope coupler/camera, video camera, and surgical navigation system applications. They feature sapphire glass (4.9mm, 5.5mm, 7.9mm, 9.9mm, and 10.0mm clear aperture options) directly sealed into metal bezels with Kryoflex seals. Weld transition options include titanium grade 4, aluminum series 4000, or 304L/17-4PH stainless steel.
