Forte rotary broaching
A new line of Forte broaches are produced from a tough stock material that replaces broaches made with M2. Forte has high wear resistance, which results in increased tool life and no chipping. Forte broaches deliver consistent depth of cut and can be used in non-Somma broach holders as well. A large range of ANSI hex and square broaches are available in the Forte broach line, replacing previously available broaches from M2.
About broaching
In rotary broaching, the head of the broaching holder is offset from the centerline of the shank on a 1° angle. Since only a section of the form is being cut at any given time, the amount of cutting pressure needed to form features is reduced. With rotary broaching on a lathe or screw machine, when the broach tool meets the rotating part, it begins spinning at the same rate as the part. On a mill or rotary transfer machine, the rotating broach and holder are fed toward a stationary part, and when the broach tool meets the part, it will stop spinning.

5-axis CNC grinder with extended X-Y axes
The 325linear machine, a 5-axis CNC grinder with extended X- and Y-axis movement, includes two auxiliary slides for workpiece clamping and improved grinding wheel guidance across the machining envelope. The machine, which operates from 2,500rpm to 4,000rpm, can accommodate micro tools, gun drills, hob cutters, and complex geometries. The additional second auxiliary slide enables the 325linear to use tool guidance, part support, tailstock, or workpiece pallets in operation.
Collet chucks, hydraulic expansion chucks, or multi-range chucks can be installed on the A-axis. When using the automated collet changer on the machine, workpieces with different diameters can be clamped with high concentricity in the unmanned loader station. The Schütte A-axis configuration permits position-oriented clamping of non-rotationally symmetrical workpieces, so sequential workpieces with various roughing and finishing requirements can be preset on the machine for continuous processing.
The Schütte grinding system offers scalable automation, a 140-position tool changer, a 5- to 24-grinding wheel magazine, and a flexible robotic tool gripper. The 325linear features a universal rotation A-axis with <0.0001° resolution, while the X-, Y-, Z-axis resolution is maintained at <0.1µm. The swiveling C-axis for the grinding head has a 225° range of motion and <0.0001° resolution. The primary motor spindle operates up to 12,000rpm with 15kW max. drive output, while the grinding spindle option affords a maximum speed of 24,000rpm. Linear axis travel on the machine is 480mm x 250mm x 275mm.
All motion control on the grinder is maintained on a Siemens 840D sl CNC with compatible drive technology.

Watertight connector series
The 0T is a small, watertight connector series using the original LEMO Push-Pull technology. Based on the LEMO B series, the 0T series connector uses an inner-sleeve and extra sealing to enable IP68 water protection. The series is available in 2- to 9-contact configurations, which can be terminated by soldering to the wire, crimping onto the wire, or directly to a printed circuit board (PCB). A keying system ensures correct connector alignment, and the connector outer shell offers full EMI/EMC shielding.
The 0T series uses a high-performance contact system and configurations, providing a wide selection of available options. It is backward compatible with the B series and has the same receptacle panel-hole diameter, enabling customers to upgrade existing designs.
