Entry Level Vision System
In-Sight 7010 is an entry level vision system developed specifically for inspection tasks where vision sensors are too limited and a standard vision system may not be cost effective. Design of the In-Sight 7010 is to make deploying a vision system easier than ever before. It is a completely self-contained vision system, which includes autofocus optics and integrated lighting in a compact IP67 rated industrial housing.
The built-in autofocus capability of the In-Sight 7010 makes it ideal for production situations requiring regular part changes, or applications that require use of the vision in hard-to-reach spaces where manual focus adjustment would be difficult. The In-Sight 7010 autofocus system is available with five different lens options to match the working distance and field of view requirements of each application.

Linear Encoders Set Up without Oscilloscope
ST46-EZA series linear encoders offer advanced features that make them an ideal choice for linear motion systems. Equipped with Mitutoyo’s EZA system, the ST46-EZA does not require an oscilloscope for set up. Instead, installation is performed quickly and easily by utilizing a PC (software is an option) or by using the set up indicator that is equipped on the encoder. The indicator’s two red and two yellow LEDs center-in on a green o.k. indicator to signal when set up is correct. The connector-integrated LED display also includes an alarm function to indicate anomalies. The ST46-EZA linear encoder is a space-saving design with a small detector head and small control unit. Even with the space-saving design, with a maximum effective range of 3,000mm (glass base type: 100mm to 3,000mm; aluminum base type: 10mm to 80mm) and a maximum response speed of 2,600mm/second (sine wave maximum response speed at -3dB) the ST46-EZA can be used in large measurement applications.

Thread-Whirling
Utilizing simultaneous rotational and longitudinal movements, Carmex whirling inserts and holders deliver high production in high-precision parts made on Swiss-type machines. Incorporating a whirling unit head equipped with eight cutting edges in contact with a rotating workpiece advanced longitudinally, the Carmex system generates extremely high surface quality, accurate geometry, and longer tool life. Further advantages include faster set up and the ability to compensate large helix angles.

Head Drilling
An expansion to Dormer’s solid carbide replaceable-head drilling program is now available. Two head types are available. The R950 – now available in diameters up to 42mm – is specifically for drilling operations in carbon and alloy steels. The R960 is ideal for stainless steel and cast iron, but is for use in titanium and nickel. Both head types incorporate a self-centering 140° 4-facet split point. This feature ensures low thrust forces throughout the drilling cycle, promoting consistently high performance. Each head is available with a range of drill bodies to support drilling depths of 3xD, 5xD, and 8xD.

CNC Turning Centers
Four new turning centers – the GS 42MS, GS 51MS, GS 150MS, and GS 200MS – are now available. These small-frame machines offer expanded levels of functionality to address complex parts, resulting in increased throughput and reduced cycle time in a single set up. Both the GS 42MS and GS 51MS machines feature collet-ready main spindles, while the GS 150MS and the GS 200MS models are chuck machines come with 3-jaw chucks. The GS 42MS and GS 150 MS are equipped with an A2-5", 6,000rpm main spindle, while the GS 51MS and GS 200MS offer a larger A2-6", 5,000rpm main spindle. Sub-spindles, live tooling, C-axis, and Fanuc 0i-TD controls are standard on all models. Options include parts catcher, part probe, tool probe, chip conveyor, servo or hydraulic tailstock, and more.

Engraving, Deburring
The DynaPen series of air tools accepts multiple accessories for engraving, precision removal, and deburring. The DynaPen is a lightweight pneumatic tool that operates at 14,000 strokes per minute. Featuring an easy one-touch on/off button and 6ft air line, the tool is available with either a 1/8" or 3mm collet insert. The air line swivels 360° for greater maneuverability, especially on contoured parts. An in-line filter prevents debris from entering the tool from the air line, ensuring longer tool life. This series of tools is available in several application-focused kits. A DynaPen Filer Kit includes an assortment of popular files while the DynaPen Scribe Kit offers a Scribe Point for engraving.
