Miniature solid carbide thread mills are optimally-designed for easy machining of difficult materials such as stainless steels, titanium, K-monel, hastelloy, and Inconel. For maximum efficiency and cost savings, the thread mills eliminate the possibility and consequences of tap breakage. Thread mills are available in both one-flute and three-flute versions, with the latter being ideal for high volume output needs. The new thread mills remove costly manual operations by eliminating the need for hand tapping during full bottom threading applications. Bottom threading can be performed to within 1 pitch. The miniature thread mills function highly efficiently with externally supplied coolant and eliminate the need for thread cutting oil, so parts and coolant reservoirs are not contaminated, as can be experienced when using a tapping method in difficult materials.

The New Miniature Solid Carbide Thread Mills include an easily controlled pitch diameter and offer precise thread depth controls, up to 2xD, so that one tool can be used for both through and blind holes. STI threads can be easily produced and the new Emuge miniature solid carbide thread mills produce excellent thread finish and gaging. Overall length of the thread mill is 1-5/8"(41mm) with a shank diameter of 1/8" (3.175mm). The line includes thread sizes of #0-80, #2-56, #4-40, #5- 40, #6-32 and #8-32 and cutting diameters from 0.045" (1.143mm) to 0.124" (3.15mm). Thread length ranges from 0.125" (3.175mm) to 0.328" (8.33mm).

Also on display will be Emuge's solid carbide micro endmills.
