Just released, and a step up from the first LaserSwiss machines, the Tsugami SS207-5AX is a 20mm, 7-axis CNC lathe featuring two fully integrated SPI fiber lasers and a servo-driven B-axis. Live tools in the B-axis cut in coordination with the C-axis, facilitating precise angles and sculpted contours.
The SS207-5AX LaserSwiss allows manufacturers to perform Swiss turning, laser cutting, and laser welding operations with a single setup. All operations are programmed and driven from the machine’s Fanuc 31i-B5 control. The laser nozzle standoff adjustment is NC-controlled, and the laser’s power level, frequency, pulse width, and lens focus are adjustable on the fly.
The SS207-5AX LaserSwiss holds 33 tools, plus the SPI fiber lasers. Cutting lasers are available in 250W or 400W configurations. Visit Tsugami/Rem at PMTS booth #101.
