John Ratzenberger, better known as Cliff Clavin from "Cheers", produces and hosts "Made in America", which celebrates the people, places and products that are uniquely America, saluting the men and women who work with their hands to skillfully make the prodcuts that are the backbone of the American economy. Ratzenberger chose Starrett because of their 125-year American Tool making heritage, their innovative and high-quality products and their dedicated workforce. Starrett is the last remaining full-line American precisoin tool company still manufacturing, selling and servicing products in the U.S., and worldwide. Ratzenberger, a former carpenter who owns a Starrett square, and his crew spent a day at Starrett filming, touring the plant and interviewing employees. Each year approximately 1,000 companines vie to be featured on the show, but only 40 are chosen. "We are honored that John selected the L.S. Starrett Co.," said Douglas A. Starrett, President and CEO.
