API adds CMM services, launches certified pre-owned laser tracker business
API Services’ coordinate measuring machine (CMM) certification and recalibration services, available in standard or premium, restore CMMs to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications. Premium calibration includes a 21 parameter error-map created using the API XD laser interferometer and six degrees of freedom (6DoF) calibration.
Software calibrates CMMs by importing, reading, and modifying original CMM error maps, regardless of whether the map is located in the CMM controller or in metrology software. Calibration technicians use XD 6DoF laser interferometers to measure 21 errors of the CMM in a single setup.
API’scertified pre-owned laser tracker business provides first-time tracker users with the benefits of laser tracker measurements at a significant discount or for additional tracker capacity to be added by experienced laser tracker users.
All API recertified laser trackers are thoroughly inspected and recertified to B89.4.19 standard at the API Services ISO 17015 certified facility, and come standard with a 12 month, full parts and labor warranty.
