Methods Machine Tools has ratcheted up efforts to market Maier Swiss-type turning centers throughout North America via an expanded, innovative product offering, new sales management, and dedicated application support.
In less than a decade, Maier has established an innovative machine design that has been well received in Europe and beyond. The cornerstone feature of Maier's precise, versatile machines is a unique, 8,500 lb solid polymer concrete base, which eliminates vibration and ensures an industry leading accuracy of 0.0001" (0.001mm.) The Maier Swiss turning line ranges from machines with four axes and 11 tool stations for processing simple parts, to machines with 15 axes and 38 tool stations for complex production work.
The MLK Linear Automatic series of machines, designed for superior speed/acceleration and accuracy in a compact footprint, was recently introduced to the line.
"With an expanded product line absolutely at the forefront of Swiss turning technology, seasoned sales expertise, and application support second to none, the Maier brand is now poised to aggressively play a leading role in the industry," says Scott Mclver, chairman, Methods Machine Tools. "We are looking forward to bringing Maier's innovative technology to precision machining users throughout North America."
