Kine-Spin/Barrett Division of Kinefac has developed a new portable unit for effectively removing solid contaminants from coolant and lubricant fluids. The unit can be used in grinding, lapping, honing, wire drawing, deep drawing, and other metalworking processes which require clean fluids for effective operation. This compact portable unit removes the abrasive swarf, material coating residue, tramp metal particles, and similar contaminants that are generated by the metalworking processes. The Centrifuge and the new Clari-Clean centrifuge bowl cleaner are mounted on a cart and supplied with an 8GPM circulation system. This allows the fluid cleaning operation to be brought to the machine and to operate there until the coolant or lubricant supply and the machine reservoir and sump are restored to satisfactory operating condition. With this new system the removed contaminants are collected in a standard drum which is located on the cart, allowing the portable fluid recovery unit to perform many machine cleaning operations before it must be returned to the location where contaminants are discarded. The unit is approximately 3 ft. wide and 6 ft. long.
