Metrology-Grade Casting Formula
Reprorubber metrology-grade casting formula is a n accurate method for the non-destructive inspection of complex and hard to measure parts. Reprorubber is produced in three grades, offering a range of viscosities, durometers, and applications. The Thin Pour (green) version provides good flow and internal feature detail. Medium Body Orange and Quick Setting Putty (blue) can be used externally and internally, depending on the application. All three versions are provided in easy-to-use kits and set up in approximately eight to 10 minutes with virtually zero shrinkage. No release agent is required to separate the casting from the original part. In addition to the original manual mix kits, the Repro-Mix II Quick Dispense Cartridge System Kits allow users to dispense, easily, both Thin Pour and Medium Body Orange formulas using a handle held gun with prefilled cartridges. Applications for Reprorubber include threads, radiuses, grooves, splines, and gears.

Oil Mist Separators
The Green Line oil mist separators use different rotor and disc siz es depending on the airflow needed. Used for all of the separators is a single rotor and disc size, regardless of the application performed, works with emulsions or straight oils. It separates 100% of the fluid particulate down to µm, 91% at 0.µm and 82% at 0.7µm. With a HEPA filter added for the final stage cleaning, the Green Line series ultimately delivers 99.997% clean air. The Nova is the first separator introduced in the Green Line series. Designed to work on small machine tools with cabins up to 106CFT, it handles all types of process applications and works with 99% of all cutting fluids.

Centrifugal Mist Collectors
The Darwin line of centrifugal mist collectors is available with throughputs from 353cfm to 1,767cfm, making it a suitable mist collection system for all kinds of machine tools, from small lathes and grinding machines to the largest machining centers. The Darwin line’s operating principle involves the use of centrifugal force to push oil mists through an annular filter medium. Collected oil is sent back to the machine tool through a drainage pipe.

Three centrifugal designs are available to meet different application needs:

  • Turbine filters air containing soluble mists and heavy particulate
  • Single centrifuge works best on soluble mists produced by general machining operations.
  • Double centrifuge filters neat oil mists and vapors produced by general machining operations

Darwin units support more than 150 different configurations with pre- and post-filter stages that can adapt these filters to a variety of mists and particulate types.

Bearings Made From Nano Particles
The iglide X6 bearing material is made using nano particles that are reportedly six times more wear-resistant than the company’s iglide T500 polymer bearings at long-term temperatures of 482°F. Maintenance-free plastic plain bearings made from iglide T500 can be used in temperature-, pressure- and chemical-critical applications. Polymer plain bearings made from iglide T500 have been around since the mid-1980s. They run dry at a long-term application temperature of -148°F to +482°F. In addition, this material absorbs very little moisture and is resistant to nearly all chemicals. This high-temperature material is available from stock in more than 250 dimensions.

Eliminate Backlash
NB Ball Splines have recirculating steel balls on the side of the outer race that are designed for high speed rotation, eliminating backlash. They are ideal for applications that may require both linear motion and superior torque transmission – covering a range of industries. Splines are available in 16 standard and customizable shaft sizes with diameters from 4mm to 100mm. There are seven different nut (the outer cylinder that retains the ball elements) styles. The large surface area of ball contact with grooved shaft results in high load capacity, and are perfect for high-speed motion and high-speed rotation.

Environmentally-Friendly Material Handling
This company will be exhibiting many of its material handling products. The Eco-Mag is a magnetic filter that uses high-power neodymium rare earth magnets to remove ferrous and para-magnetic contamination from fluids and is particularly effective with machine tool oils, coolants, and hydraulic fluid machinery systems. The environmentally friendly Eco-Mag does not use filter consumables. The Beltless Magnetic Conveyor (BLM) is available in a variety of models that provide positive control of ferrous metal materials, such as stampings, turnings, chips, fasteners, and scrap. Magnetic Extreme Coolant Cleaner (XCC) features a durable stainless steel cleaning surface that will not wear out. Magnetic technology is green. Finally, a line of portable oil skimmers can capture tramp oil on the surface of process fluids. A self-regulating tilting skimmer glides over the surface to collect oil while a pump ensures that unwanted fluids do not return to the tank.

Automatic Fire Detection and Suppression Systems
Design of these automatic fire detection and suppression systems are to extinguish machine fires sparked by oil-based metalworking fluids, coolants, and lubricants. They are compatible with most extinguishing agents, including those that are non-toxic, non-conductive, and non-corrosive. The clean agents leave no residue on machines or workpieces and will not contaminate lubricating oils or fluids. These systems are self-contained and do not require any electrical power to operate. The heart of the system is a proprietary detection tubing (a linear pneumatic heat sensor) that reacts to a fire or fast-rising heat event by bursting at the point nearest the greatest heat, triggering a discharge of the fire extinguishing agent. The detection tubing is flexible enough to route through hard-to-reach areas yet rugged enough to withstand the heat, dirt, and vibration typically found in harsh machining environments.
