
Pierceton, Indinan - Paragon Medical Inc. officials announced that they have signed an agreement with Michael Bubolz GmbH to acquire its medical device business segment.
Headquartered in Stuhr, Germany, and with a facility in Siechnice, Poland, Michael Bubolz manufactures close tolerance surgical instrumentation, a wide variety of orthopaedic implantable components, and also provides complete sterile pack products. The medical device business will be consolidated into the current facility in Poland, will employ more than 200 people and occupy more than 40,000ft2.
Tobias Buck, CEO, president and chairman of the board for Paragon Medical said, “This acquisition is yet another stepping stone to enhance Paragon’s position as a strategic partner for the medical device OEM community world-wide, and creates a geographic center of excellence for applications in the trauma, spine, sports medicine and large joint segment of orthopedics.”
