The GENOS L2000-e is a compact, horizontal lathe that comes standard with a variety of features and specifications, enabling users to execute high-accuracy machining for medical manufacturing work.
The GENOS L2000-e features an integral spindle for high-precision CNC machining. Powerful cutting is made possible by a highly rigid structure that uses a box guideway system on the X- and Z-axis. This one-saddle lathe is stronger, smaller, and ideal for easily cutting a wide range of exotic materials.
This horizontal lathe features thermo- friendly construction – including Thermo Active Stabilizer Construction (TAS-C) – automatically compensating thermal effects to maintain tight tolerances. The construction was also designed to be operator-friendly by simplifying cleaning, filtration, and maintenance tasks. This includes a separate cooling tank for quick servicing, easy spindle access to reduce operator work burden and maintenance tasks, and reduced chip accumulation during long, continuous runs to decrease machine downtime for cleaning.
The GENOS L2000-e delivers further efficiencies when paired with CNC automation technology. The automation solutions recommended by Okuma America include bar feeders, gantry loaders, pre-kitted cells, and cobots.
The GENOS L2000-e is a member of Okuma America’s Affordable Excellence line of machine tools offering everyone an opportunity to experience Okuma quality machining capabilities and its proprietary OSP control at a more accessible price.
