
Scientific Cutting Tools is introducing the TMLR tools, manufactured from a premium micrograin solid carbide substrate with a unique long reach design. This special design is aimed at providing a stable, quality thread-milling tool for small thread-milling applications. Starting at a 2-56 internal thread and going up to a ½-20, these tools enable the user to thread mill holes previously deemed difficult or impossible by conventional methods. The helical design allows the tools to be free cutting, and threads with 2 and 3 times diameter in demanding materials can now be thread milled with excellent cycle times. The fine ground cutting edge and TiALN coating provide maximum tool life and quality surface finishes.
