With the single-window integration of SolidCAM in SolidWorks, all machining operations are defined, calculated and verified without having to leave the SolidWorks' window.
All geometries used for machining are fully associative to the Solid- Works design model. If any changes are done to the SolidWorks model, all CAM operations are automatically updated. SolidCAM supports 2.5D Milling, 3D Milling, Indexical 4/5-Axis Multi-Sided Milling, Simultaneous 5-Axis Milling, Turning, Turn-Mill and 2/4-Axis Wire EDM. SolidCAM provides both interactive and automated 2.5D-milling operations on SolidWorks models. For complex 3D models including aerospace parts, molds and dies, electrodes and prototypes, SolidCAM offers 3D machining, including High-Speed Machining strategies and integrated rest material options. SolidCAM supports up to 5-Axis (XYZCB) Turn-Mill CNC machines including back-spindle operations.
