Multitasking Technology

The INTEGREX i-150 multitasking center brings together extreme versatility and accuracy for manufacturers of complex small components from bar stock.

The INTEGREX i-150 multitasking center brings together extreme versatility and accuracy for manufacturers of complex small components from bar stock. "Done-In-One" machining (turning, multi-face, multi-angle and full 5-axis contouring) is all performed on INTEGREX i-150. The machine configuration features a single, horizontal, main spindle with 15 hp and 5,000rpm for turning and C-axis control. The 6" through-hole chuck provides generous bar capacity of 2.56". A 10hp, 12,000rpm milling spindle is mounted in the vertical rotating B-axis with a range of -10° to 190°. An optional 20,000rpm spindle is offered to meet demands for high precision.

For a compact multitasking center, INTEGREX i-150 offers Y-axis range of ±3.94" (±100mm); X-axis travel of 14.57" (370mm); Z-axis travel of 17.13" (435mm); and a maximum swing of 15.75" (400mm).

Integral to the INTEGREX i-150 is a multi-purpose part-handling device, which can index to an NC tailstock for shaft turning, or a vise for holding the workpiece while multi-face operations are performed. Teamed with an automatic bar feeder, unattended machining can be performed over long periods.

Achieving and maintaining high accuracies are accomplished through several design features including Mazak's roller cam drive for the rotating B-axis; turning and milling spindles utilizing temperature-controlled circulated oil; and the milling spindle which is monitored for heat, vibration and displacement through the Intelligent Performance Spindle (IPS) module.

Also on display will be the Horizontal Center Nexus 8800-II.
