IAR Embedded Workbench has been selected by System Semiconductor for inclusion in the M3000 Developer's Kit for chip level motion control. The M3000 Developer's Kit contains all the tools needed to begin developing applications using the System Semiconductor M3000 Motion Controller, a highly integrated, mixed signal system-on-a-chip. The device combines all the major building blocks necessary to control and position multi-phase stepper motors, while also working as a high-speed, generalpurpose micro-controller incorporating extensive communication, analoge and system functions.
The M3000 development board included in the kit interfaces with IAR Embedded Workbench to make it simple for developers to develop applications and add firmware to the M3000 device. The development board features pre-installed I/O and communications hardware, and also includes a HBridge step motor driver delivering 0A to 4A peak output. IAR Embedded Workbench provides an intuitive user interface for writing code and debugging M3000 applications. IAR Embedded Workbench features a C/C++ compiler and C-SPY debugger, assembler, and project manager. The Developer's Kit includes a complimentary 30-day fully-functional evaluation version of IAR Embedded Workbench that requires a simple registration process to obtain a license key.
