SKF MATRIX electro-mechanical linear actuators can precisely and reliably adjust, power-lift and position beds, therapy couches and other types of patient-care equipment in hospitals, rehabilitation centers and medical offices. Their silent and virtually maintenance-free operation compares favorably with typically noisy and complex pneumatic cylinders and fluid-dependent hydraulics.
These modular and compact actuators can be installed at virtually every angle in vertical or horizontal positions to optimize integration. Strokes up to 700mm, push forces up to 8,000N, pull forces up to 6,000N, and fullload speeds up to 15mm/sec can be achieved, depending on model. Motor voltages range from 24VDC to 230VAC.
High-quality, die-cast metal parts, stainless steel push tubes and ultrasonic-welded plastic parts deliver superior performance and reliability. Notable safety features include built-in self-locking brakes and safety nut.
The latest addition of BCU-, VCUand SCU-control units allow for a highlyflexible and application-focused control system. Basic units can handle low-voltage control for simple tasks and more advanced versions use microprocessor technology to accommodate complex systems. An array of switching options completes the drive package.
Multiple actuators can be synchronized and a variety of available accessories and options expands application potential.
