45° milling series

The MB45 milling series for general purpose milling features economical 8-edge inserts and a new helical body design for a more durable and versatile cutter with better finish capabilities compared to conventional mills.

These next-generation cutters are ultra-durable, ensuring reliability when used in general machining applications or for more unique solutions. The MB45 series offers the low cutting force benefits of positive inserts and the fracture resistance of negative inserts, ensuring good surface finish while making it a strong option for smaller machining centers. Designed to cater to a broad spectrum of machining applications, they are positioned as a cost-effective solution for a wider range of possibilities.

The MB45 series is enhanced by KYOCERA’s PR18 Series PVD coating that significantly extends tool life. These grades incorporate MEGACOAT NANO EX coating technology, achieving, in some cases, double the resistance and durability. By using the double lamination technique with special nano multi-layers for abrasion, wear, and heat resistance, the coating surpasses conventional grades, delivering high performance and extending the lifespan of the tools.

Adhesive for biosensors

Medical-grade adhesive DELO MONOPOX MG3727, based on a long-proven consumer electronics adhesive featuring low temperature curing and drop resistance, has been updated with non-cytotoxicity to meet standards (DIN EN ISO 10993-5) necessary to classify it as a medical-grade adhesive.

DELO MONOPOX MG3727 is tailored for use in the assembly of biosensors, including ECG/EKG electrodes, and the adhesive performs well with stainless steel often central to the construction of such equipment, testing at a compression shear strength of 11MPa.

This one-component, solvent-free and humidity-resistant adhesive features a low Young’s modulus of 160MPa, making it resistant to cracking under sudden impact. A low glass transition temperature of -52°C helps the adhesive retain its properties across the range of temperatures over which a sensor may be used.

DELO MONOPOX MG3727 takes 10 minutes to fully cure via a low heat of 90°C, making it well-suited for temperature-sensitive substrates. With a viscosity of 30,000mPa·s, it can be easily applied via needle dispensing for optimal production efficiency. Blue fluorescence allows for increased process control of dispensing accuracy.
