Hybrid light-curable adhesive platform
HLC-M-1000 is the first product in a Hybrid Light-Curable (HLC) series of adhesives. This patent-pending adhesive platform combines the best qualities of anionic and free radical chemistries into one formulation.
HLC-M-1000 is designed for medical device assembly, meeting various biocompatibility standards and is well-suited for bonding applications on catheters, tube sets, diagnostic and therapeutic devices, autoinjectors, and endoscopes. Its built-in moisture/contact cure feature enables complete adhesive curing in dark areas.
It cures rapidly with broad-spectrum light, is LED optimized at 405nm, and can also cure at very low intensity (~20mW/cm2). The material begins to cure instantly upon substrate contact while light exposure expedites and improves the cure. Other characteristics include a tack-free surface after light cure, a 3cP wicking grade viscosity, and compatibility with many plastics and metals.
CAD/CAM version 2024
Cimatron 2024 simplifies and automates tasks for tool designers for higher productivity, and more options for digital connection. Efficiency remains a key focus, with advanced user workflow updates including multi-view spacing, batch-processing for drawing updates, tangent control for blending faces, and an easy option for capping internal islands. CAD users will enjoy features for 2D drafting such as importing PDFs as real geometry and text, new minimum distance dimensioning, enhanced symbols, and improved geometric datum and tolerancing (GD&T). Cimatron 2024 introduces a clean GUI for controlling drafting standards, improved draft analysis visualization, and automated chain selection of chamfer faces.
Cimatron 2024 represents another significant release to support CAM operations from basic 2D up to complex 5-axis. The Enhanced Automatic Feed Control (AFC) routine has been completely redeveloped and optimizes stock removal for roughing operations by automatically controlling the feed rate, resulting in smoother motion, faster machining times, longer tool life, and fewer changes on the machine spindle and axes. Live benchmark testing with Sandvik Coromant has reduced cutting time more than 10% on CNC machines.
Automated deburring and chamfering
The 11-axis MAX System CNC-type deburring and chamfering machine includes technology to increase speed and simplify programming, setup, and operation. Consisting of two, 5-axis heads and a C-axis rotary worktable, servomotors position the heads via an X-Y overhead gantry using hardened, chrome, ground shafts and carriers with multiple, preloaded bearings.
In addition, the MAX System features multiple nozzles delivering water-based coolant with a rust inhibitor at 200gpm to keep parts and tools cool during operation, while also washing the part and machine work zone. The two heads can perform finishing operations concurrently using various brushes and abrasive tools to minimize overall cycle times. Both heads are fully customizable with 12 types of tools available. The system can store up to 100 part programs, recipes, and individual operations can be chained together to further speed programming.
