Stereo microscope

The SZX7 stereo microscope features a 7:1 zoom ratio, electrostatic discharge protection, and an advanced Galilean optical system for brilliant, highly resolved images. A long, tilting trinocular optimizes work position by bringing the microscope closer to the user while the extendable eyepoint adjuster provides flexibility for users of different heights, reducing stress and improving efficiency by providing the optimal comfort. This helps deliver precise, consistent results while extended eye relief allows for comfortable viewing and head positioning, even with slight head movement.

An integrated click-stop mechanism enables users to accurately choose the desired magnification for consistent, reproducible results.

The SZX7 microscope and accessories are electrostatic discharge safe and can discharge static electricity from 1,000V to 100V in less than 0.2 seconds, protecting the equipment and preventing sample damage.

Machining stainless steel

The CrazyTool range of carbide cutting tools – stainless steels, titanium, chrome-cobalt alloys, Inconel, Hastelloy, and other super alloys – machines small dimensions and offers solutions from centering to drilling, milling, and deburring.

CrazyDrill Twicenter: For centering in difficult-to-machine materials; through-coolant ducts remove heat from cutting edges, flush chips

CrazyDrill SST-Inox: Small drill, 0.02" to 0.08" (0.3mm to 2.0mm) diameters; available with, without through coolant; can be used with high cutting speeds and feeds even with high nickel content materials

CrazyDrill Cool SST-Inox: For stainless steels with diameters from 0.039" to 0.236" (1mm to 6mm); internal spiral coolant channels cool drill tip with constant coolant stream, preventing overheating of cutting edges; enables drilling to 20xD depth without pecking

CrazyDrill Coolpilot: A complementary pilot drill for the CrazyDrill Cool SST-Inox; spiralized, internal coolant channels; 1mm to 6mm diameter range with tolerances consistent with long drills, preventing steps if two tools are used in conjunction

CrazyMill Cool: Mini milling cutter with through coolant; available from 0.02" to 0.315" (0.3mm to 8.0mm); cylindrical or radius-corner version for milling grooves, pockets, edges; ball mill version for copy milling; new version for plunging, slotting

CrazyMill Chamfer: Deburring tools starting at 0.02" (0.4mm) diameter; front and back chamfering; universal deburring of difficult-to-reach angles, all types of internal, external contours

Online Cartesian handling system

The Festo Handling Guide Online Cartesian robot configuration tool and Motion Control Package enable fast design, quick delivery, and easy setup. Equipped with basic application information – payload, cycle time, load voltage, workspace size – design engineers specify single-axis, 2D, or 3D Cartesian robots. Users receive a CAD file in 20 minutes, including price, and engineers can order immediately or alter the design and receive an updated price and file. Original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) can choose fully assembled robots or ready-to-assemble modules.

The system designs the robot’s controller, including the control cabinet’s parts, delivered fully assembled and ready to install, just add power, Ethernet connection, iO, and wiring to the axes motors.

The Festo Motion Control package is programmable logistic controller (PLC) independent for user choice while its IO-Link and function block approach eases end-of-arm tooling setup easy. The package controls eight external end-of-arm digital inputs and eight digital outputs within a standard function block.
