Vibration damping extensions

In hard-to-reach areas such as deep cavities, vibration damping technology (VIDAT) extensions reduce vibrations, offer extensive vibration- and chatter-free machining, and provide a higher cutting depth, increasing metal removal rate. They have an h6 shank tolerance and can be shrunk and stretched with other clamping devices for cylindrical shanks. The extensions are available with tool diameters ranging from 6mm to 20mm, with total lengths of 210mm or 300mm available. They are suitable for up to 80bar of internal coolant supply.

Energy-saving application

Eco suite is a next-generation application that saves energy by monitoring and managing energy-wasting machine processes such as idling, pump rotation, and continuous running of peripheral equipment. Energy-efficient intelligent control applications include:

Eco Idling Stop – Stops machine tool idling, monitors the cooling status of the milling and turning spindles, automatically turns them off when cooling is complete

Eco Power Monitor – Allows operators to see how much energy is being used and saved, showing power consumption for spindles, feed axes, peripheral equipment

Eco Hydraulics – Provides machining control at low rotation speeds, minimizing unnecessary pump rotation during dwell pressure applications

Eco Operation – Allows operators to set time limits for peripheral equipment, automatically stopping them after cutting is finished

Miniature magnetic encoders

High-performance miniature magnetic encoders for embedded OEM motion control are designed for high-volume medical applications. They come in four different shapes and provide linear resolution up to 0.244µm or 753,664 cycles per revolution for rotary applications. The encoders consist of a miniature sensor and a magnetic scale or a ring, and are available in a potted housing or as PCB board-level sensors. Position information can be output in incremental quadrature TTL, RS422, or parallel in SSI and BiSS-C formats, with unique or periodic reference marks.
