Automatic lathes for short, long turning
SPRINT 32|5 and SPRINT 32|8 for bar material with diameters of up to 1.3" now come with SWISSTYPEkit, allowing short and long turning on one machine with setup times of less than 30 min. Spindle stroke is lengthened to 10" while an optional quick tool-change system reduces setup times by another 20%. With a 30.1ft² footprint, the compact models offer a work area of up to 1.3" x 23.6".
The SPRINT 32|5 comes with five linear axes and a C-axis on the main spindle and has two independent tool carriers with space for up to 22 tools. There are four pockets available for powered tools for radial machining on the main spindle.
The SPRINT 32|8 is suited to the machining of more complex workpieces. It has an additional Y-axis for the second tool carrier plus a C-axis for the counter-spindle. The SPRINT 32|8 is equipped with a total of six linear axes, two C-axes, and has 28 tool pockets. This expansion option of the machine has a third independent tool carrier that is suitable for deep hole drilling on the main spindle. These two stations can also be equipped for powered tools. The second tool carrier has eight pockets for rear-side machining, four of which are equipped for powered tools. There are pockets for 10 powered tools (8 in the standard version).

Fast, accurate, medical part measurement
InSpec Metrology Software for Micro-Vu measuring machines aids in the measurements of stents, bone screws, plates, and other medical components.
InSpec Metrology Software drives advanced staging, electronics, imaging, and lighting to generate high accuracy measurements, making it easy to measure parts, check geometric tolerances, collect measurement data, and generate reports.
Advanced focus and edge detection algorithms provide superior performance with sub-pixel accuracy and repeatability. Concise screen layouts present the part program, measurement data, video image, and a schematic on a single screen.

Quick workholding changeover with standardized adapter parts
Designed for quick changeover of workholding on CNC turning machines, the Chuck Changing System’s (CCS) standardized adapter parts allow the use of 2-jaw chucks, 3-jaw chucks, collet chucks, mandrels, manual fixtures, and other workholding methods with the same system.
Changing a chuck with CCS takes minutes. A turn of the key connects any workholding device to the machine spindle as well as to the drawtube of the actuating cylinder. Hardened and precision-ground CCS and adapter parts ensure high repeatability and changeover accuracy. A large through hole and a visual control for the locking status add to the unit’s versatility. The CCS can be installed on new machines or retrofitted to existing CNC lathes.
