The 305 MICRO will include magnet finishing for edge preparation of cutting tools and part production. Edge preparation is proving to extend tool life for all standard and special cutting tools. The magnet finishing device is incorporated into the wheel changing system of the 305 MICRO allowing for the complete grinding and magnet finishing in one setup.
The 305 TREND machine, targeted at the regrind market, includes the automatic wheel changing system plus a five-position chain magazine loading system. The setup of the 305 TREND machine allows for the grinding of different styles and shank size tools in an automatic mode.
Both machines utilize the Siemens 840D Control, combined with the Schütte SIGS menu-driven software for ease of setup and operation.
